Puch-Rally

Our Puch-rallys with funny competitions were held up yearly. There is nothing to win but much fun, and the only rule is that the winner has to organize the rally next year.

Puch-Trophy ī93

In summer '93 my friends Erich, Fred, and I had the crazy idea to take a ride over the highest Mountain in Austria, the "Großglockner". Erich took his 250SGS, Fred his 250SG, and I was riding my little 125SR scooter. When we arrived at the well-known "Großglockner Hochalpenstraße" there was a little problem: there was too much snow, the road was closed (in summer!).
But on the next day, the weather was better and we drove on. My scooter was a little bit slow (5 HP, 1st gear, approx. 15 km/h), but we made it!
After four days we all returned home without real breakdowns (a loosed exhaust, a overturned speedometer, and a single flat tire really couldnīt stop us).

Our outfits are not very classic, but it was very cold and wet, so we were wearing all clothes we had, one over the other.

about us

We are no official motorbike or oldtimer-club, but just some friends with the common interest in old bikes.
Some of us can be found at the BOC (Burgenländischer Oldtimer Club).
